Pontotoc Vineyard Weingarten

@pontotocvineyard | The PT Weingarten (wine garden) welcomes you and your pets. Similar to the heurigen of Vienna, Austria, the weingarten provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in an intimate environment for sharing a picnic of excellent wines paired with delish bites. Leashed pets may frolic in outdoor area.

Signor Vineyards

@signorvineyards | Located along the 290 Wine Trail, this beautiful 200-acre vineyard is an essential stop for anyone visiting Fredericksburg. Unwind with your furry friend on the gorgeous patio gardens, manicured lawns with a wine tasting paired with a charcuterie board. You must be a Signor Vineyards Wine Club Member to your bring dog on property. (Join before you go!) Pets must be leashed, and members are allowed only 1 dog per membership on the weekends.

Cross Mountain Vineyards

@crossmountainvineyards | Bringing the best of Italy to the Texas Hill Country. Known for warm hospitality, delicious Italian wines, casual atmosphere and fun times. Enjoy wine tastings, gourmet wood-fired pizzas, and charcuterie. Dogs are welcomed inside the tasting room and on the patio. And they thank y’all for always keeping your furry friends leashed.

Texas Wine Collective

@txwinecollectivefbg | Winery that features a wide variety of amazing Texas wines, with wine tastings that change seasonally. A great spot to relax and take your time. Enjoy fun and unique food & wine pairings – and they offer water and dog treats for your pupper! The have a “Wags & Wine” event every Spring benefitting the Hill Country SPCA.

Becker Vineyards

@beckervineyards | A family-owned vineyard providing wine tastings and tours, along with many products crafted from estate-grown lavender. A variety of tastings are available to choose from. Pets are allowed on leashes outdoors on the lawn, the open air Pavilion, and Veranda areas. (No pets are allowed in the indoor tasting rooms, wine production areas or indoor reception hall.) And they have cute Becker Vineyards pet apparel, dog bowls, and chew toys available for purchase for your four-legged furry friends.

Fiesta Winery 290

@fiestawinery | This winery is ideally located at the heart of Texas Wine Country, 6 miles outside of Fredericksburg. A relaxed, casual atmosphere where you can peruse a menu of cleverly named, fun labeled, and delicious award-winning wines. Relax with a glass of wine and charcuterie with your pup at the outdoor tables. Enjoy blue skies, sunshine, and delicious wine at Fiesta Winery 290.

Arch Ray Winery

@archraywinery | This pet-friendly winery and tasting room produces amazing private label wines. Enjoy reds and whites by the glass, and wine tastings of 6 pours of your choice with small bites and charcuterie. Leashed dogs are welcome on the patio at Arch Ray Winery, within Arch Ray Resort.

Messina Hof Hill Country

Inwood Estates Winery & Vineyards

@inwoodestates | Pioneers in Tempranillo cultivation, they specialize in crafting the finest wines from top-quality Texas grapes. Unwind with your four-legged friend on their inviting patio and bask under a shaded canopy while enjoying their exceptional wines paired with mouthwatering sandwiches & artisanal charcuterie boards.

Das Peach Haus

@daspeachhaus | The Das Peach Haus store is located in an old 1900’s brewery surrounded with over 1000 peach trees and towering pine trees. Shop and sample Fischer & Wieser products and enjoy wine tastings. Relax with a glass of wine out by the beautiful pond with fido. Fresh peaches are available June – August. The grounds are very pet-friendly, but sorry, no pets inside the store.

Luckenbach, Texas

@luckenbachtexas | Luckenbach captures the essence of a bygone era with its rustic and unassuming charm. Visitors are greeted with a sense of nostalgia as they step back in time into this historic Texas town. Known for it’s dancehall that hosts legendary country musicians and continues to be a hub for local and aspiring artists. You can bring leashed dogs inside the general store, explore the grounds, and relax under the old 500-year-old oak trees. No pets during concerts.

290 Wine Shuttle Services

@290wineshuttle | A wine shuttle service with pick-ups at each winery every 15 minutes, that’s a fun, convenient, and affordable way to explore Texas wine country. They offering both standard and private tours. You may bring dogs weighing under 25 lbs on coach trips – please confirm you are bringing your canine companion during the reservation process.

Otto’s German Bistro

They feature an extensive German-Austrian wine list, craft beers, and the best handcrafted cocktails. Well behaved, leashed dogs are welcomed with you on the pet-friendly patio as you indulge in gourmet German-style fare.

Altdorf Biergarten & Restaurant

@altdorfbiergarten | When you are exploring new places to eat with our furry companion, Altdorf Biergarten will make your day with their pet-friendly patio and delicious food. Nestled beneath shady trees, their classic beer garden boasts a cozy patio where you can savor tap beers, indulge in traditional German dishes, and delight in eclectic fare. Must try their Lemon Meringue or Banana Split cocktails -yum!

Western Edge Kitchen & Cocktails

@westernedgecellars | The food is absolutely delicious, from grilled burgers to bacon wrapped quail, flatbread pizzas, crawfish stuffed mushrooms, and filet mignon all paired with hand crafted cocktails, wine or beer. They also offer live music, check their events calendar for dates & times. Your furry friends are invited on the outdoor patio and must be leashed at all times.

Tubby’s Ice House

@tubbysfbg | Your go-to spot for good times, great food, and killer cocktails. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The patio is quiet, relaxing, and a pet friendly area. The bar serves craft beer, wine & frozen cocktails. Enjoy their signature green chili queso, pulled pork fries, tacos, fresh salads and burgers. The staff is welcoming. Dogs get water and are treated well. Tuesdays are great for drink specials, tacos and trivia.

WEST END PIZZA COMPANY

@westendpizza | Outstanding pizzaria serving up delish signature brick oven pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, soups, salads, and paninis. Has a full bar with margaritas, beer & wine. Live music on weekends, open 7 Days a week. The outdoor seating area is pet friendly with plenty of shade and big screen TVs. 

Munch Park

An outdoor food truck park and live music venue. Plenty of picnic tables with food trucks serving delicious street food fare. Enjoy great birria tacos, burgers, wings, mac and cheese, coconut shrimp, fish tacos, shaved ice and warm churros. You can also get local wine and craft beer. Kid & pet friendly.

FREDERICKSBURG DOG PARK

@fbgdogpark | Every dog has his day and this dog park has it all. Clean water sources, shaded areas to sit, and ample space for dogs to freely roam, play, and explore. It features designated zones for small dogs (under 25 pounds) and large dogs (25 pounds +) making it an ideal location for dogs to get some much needed exercise and have fun! Owners are required to keep a close eye on their dogs and ensure pets are leashed when outside the fenced areas. All dogs must have up-to-date vaccination records, and pups under four months of age are not allowed in the park.

LADY BIRD JOHNSON MUNICIPAL PARK 

Enjoy a lovely walk around a one mile nature trail along Live Oak Creek. Pets must be leashed and clean up immediately after your pet is required. Bring your own doggie bags, there are trash cans along the trail but no bag stations. The Fredericksburg Dog Park is located just down the road.

CROSS MOUNTAIN PARK

Experience amazing views of the Texas Hill Country at Cross Mountain Park. A short hike you can bring fido with for expansive views, a butterfly garden, and a small picnic area at the top. A historic spot with a wooden cross that stands at the top of the hill, once serving as a lookout point. You can go to the Cross Mountain Vineyards tasting room afterward in town to enjoy a wine tasting!

Dogologie

@dogologie | Fredericksburg’s premier pet store that has everything for your favorite canine. It’s a huge store, packed with a wide selection of pet supplies and food. Shop cute clothing and accessories for your best friend. They also offer pet stroller rentals, hourly daytime dog boarding services and an overnight boarding service. They are good source for vets or a good trainer while you are in town.

The residence is conveniently located near walking trails and guests receive a $25 gift certificate to the Fredericksburg pet store, Dogologie. Additionally, guests can utilize their crate rental service to ensure the comfort and safety of their dogs while they are out for the day.

Barons Creekside

@baronscreekside | Experience lodging within a vineyard, spanning 26 acres of wooded, rolling hills with two creeks meandering between cozy rustic, european style cabins only 3-minutes from Main Street in Fredericksburg. Designated cabins welcome dogs (up to 40 lbs). Dogs must not chase ducks or cats on the property or swim in the creeks. $30 per pet, per night. Please see their website for their full pet policy.

Peach Tree Inn & Suites

@peachtreeinnsuites | Immerse yourself in the genuine Texas hospitality at the Peach Tree Inn. Situated just a few blocks away from historic Main Street, this inn features country cottage décor, comfortable beds, mini-fridges, microwaves, high speed wireless internet and more. There is an extra charge for pets. (No pets allowed in Upstair Single Queen rooms.) All pets must be on a leash and there are pet waste stations available on the property.

 Fredericksburg Inn & Suites

@fredericksburginnsuites | Located walking distance from Main Street, this picturesque inn is close to the finest restaurants, shops, and art galleries of Fredericksburg. Despite its proximity, the property has a secluded and serene ambiance. Welcomes up to 2 dogs (up to 50 lbs) in designated rooms for an additional fee of $50 per stay. Dogs cannot be left unattended in rooms. Poolside Rooms and Suites are not pet friendly. They have a grassy pet relief area with waste station on the property.

Best Western Plus

This hotel’s tranquil setting promotes relaxation effortlessly. They also have nice deluxe suites for longer stays. This pet friendly hotel includes an outdoor pool where guests can unwind. The Pacific War Museum is close by, as well as, wineries and golf courses. It allows up to two dogs (up to 80 lbs) for an additional fee of $30 per night. Guests traveling with pets will be assigned to rooms on the first floor. Dogs cannot be left unattended in the rooms. A pet relief area with waste bags is located on the property. No kitties are permitted.

Country Inn & Cottages

@thelodgecountryinn | Get away from the stress of everyday life with comfortable, cozy budget-friendly rooms (king /queen beds) at the inn in town or the cottages offer 1-3 bedroom private cottages on a 200-acre ranch. Pets are $15 extra per night and must be leashed when outside. For more information and the complete pet policy please go to their website.

Sunday House Inn & Suites

@sundayhouseinn | Located on Main Street, in Fredericksburg. Make yourself at home with comfortable lodging with all the amenities – like high speed internet, cable TV, and a delish deluxe continental breakfast every morning. They accommodate up to two dogs (up to 35 lbs each) in the pet-friendly (3) Double Queen rooms at $35 extra per night. Contact (877) 411-3436 before booking to confirm the availability of the pet suitable rooms. Failure to do so may result in inability to check in with a pet or may incur associated cancellation penalties. Dogs cannot be left unattended in the rooms, and the hotel does not permit the presence of cats.

Wow, just what we needed. We wanted to make sure there were enough places that were really (welcoming) pet friendly, not just tolerant. We have experienced that before on trips. Thank you so much.
