Enchanted rock state park

It’s large, dome-shaped pink granite rock formation rises over 400 feet above the surrounding hill country terrain. The rock is estimated to be 1.1 billion years old, known as a “batholith.” The park has over 11 miles of hiking trails, ranging from easy strolls to challenging climbs, with the Summit Trail being the most popular and challenging trail, but offering the most stunning views of the surrounding landscape from the top of the dome.

What is the best time of year to visit Enchanted Rock?

Fall and Spring are the best times to visit & hike Enchanted Rock. Hikes are best either early or later in the day. Due to the high volume of visitors, reservations are required. Reserve your day pass online before you go. You can reserve it up to 30 days before your visit.

It takes its name from the iconic Texas town, Luckenbach, Texas, paying homage to the rich history and culture of the area.
