CHRISTMAS MAGIC IN BOERNE, TEXAS

The holidays are the perfect time to visit Boerne. Home to unique dining, breweries, great shopping and only a short drive from San Antonio. The “Dickens On Main” Christmas Festival is a major attraction along with other great holiday festivities & events. It’s a celebration that transcends the ordinary, inviting everyone to embrace the magic of the season in a place where community and Christmas cheer intertwine.

Dickens On Main

 @dickensonmain | Downtown Boerne transforms into a magical Victorian-era holiday wonderland, enchanting visitors with the spirit of Charles Dickens’ timeless tales in a festive atmosphere. Carolers sing classic holiday tunes and lively characters mill about in Victorian costumes, storefronts are decorated while horse-drawn carriages traverse the streets. This fun Christmas festival runs 4 weekends, “Dickens On Main” opening weekend, “Weihnachts Weekend,” “A Toast to Olde Town” and “Kinder Fest.” It kicks off the weekend after Thanksgiving and ends around December 17th. There are lots of events with real snow, live music, performances, ice sculpture, the Christmas parade, Stocking Stroll, Cookie Crawl, visits with Santa, Wassail Tasting, Santa Scavenger Hunt, Caroling Contest and more! Cave Without A Name

The Annual Sounds of the Season Concert | @tinselsingers | indulge in the festive melodies of an a cappella quartet from contemporary classics to beloved Christmas carols. Grammy winners and classically trained vocalists, Tinsel’s ensemble captivates audiences with both style and distinction. Held November 25, purchase tickets online @cavewithoutaname.

A Walk in Bethlehem

 St. Helena’s Episcopal Church 410 N Main St, Boerne, TX | Experience the magic of a live nativity. A captivating portrayal that brings the timeless story of the birth of Jesus to life. As you step into this immersive experience, you find yourself transported to the heart of Bethlehem, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and emotions of that sacred night. Walk through town, pet a live camel, witness the Holy Family, shepherds, wise men, and angels, invoking the true spirit of season. Held December 5th and 6th, two shows, at 6pm and 7:30pm.

Crumbling Castle Lights

@crumblingcastlelights | Bring the whole family for a good time holiday drive through more than 30 acres of a magical forest filled with festive sparkling lights, decorations, wrapped trees, holiday scenes, and storybook characters. Purchase buttercream-frosted Christmas cookies and bottled water at the ticket hut before you hit the trail, and tune into a playlist of classic Christmas tunes. Open 6pm – 10pm. Nov 17 – January 1. The Dienger Trading Co.

@thediengertradingco | Santa comes to the Dienger for 4 special days in December. A magical, heartwarming, and memorable experience, bring the kiddos to visit and take pictures with the Big Guy, do some shopping, and grab lunch at the bistro. Ice Skating

Waterworks Terrace 210 W Blanco Rd. Boerne, TX | @cityofboerne | A captivating winter wonderland opens it’s frosty gates to skaters to revel in the icy enchantment for the Christmas holidays. Fun for adults thru kids aged 3 and under. Dolphin skate aids are available for the little ones, providing a whimsical way for them to be guided around the rink by an accompanying adult. Secure your spot in advance, as reservations are highly recommended. Tickets range from $15 to $22. Held Thanksgiving Day to December 31, with daily operating hours spanning from 3pm to 10pm.
