Sister Creek Vineyards

Sister Creek Vineyards is a historic winery located in Sisterdale (about 12 miles north of Boerne in Texas Hill Country). It was founded in 1988 and operates inside a restored 1885 cotton gin, offering tastings and self-guided tours. The vineyard produces traditional, European-style wines—such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir—using barrel aging and classic Bordeaux/Burgundy techniques.

The Kendall County Historic Jail

Built in 1887, it originally served as the county jail for nearly 100 years. It was restored and reopened as a museum showcasing Kendall County history. It features the original jail cells and living quarters and displays about the Texas Rangers and early law enforcement, the Newton Boys (famous bank robbers), early railroads and settlers, unique items like moonshine stills and armadillo artifacts.

Kuhlmann-King Historical Complex

A small but historically rich museum site in the Texas Hill Country that preserves early life in Boerne during the late 1800s. The home tells a story of both prosperity and tragedy (the original owner’s wife died in childbirth). Later owned by the King family and even used by the local school district. Designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark (1982).

Boerne Turn Verein: Bowling

The Boerne Turn Verein is a social and athletic club incorporated one hundred years ago in 1906. They are more of a community and private-use lane, not a full modern bowling alley. Best for events or local gatherings rather than casual walk-in bowling. Call for hours and availability.

Kelani Yogürt in Boerne, TX is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop where you create your own dessert. The Boerne Village Band at Main Plaza

A historic German-style brass band that embodies the strong German-Texan heritage of the Texas Hill Country and is still active today, performing traditional polkas, waltzes, marches, and more. Founded in 1860 by German immigrant, Dr. Karl Dienger and recognized by the German government and the State of Texas as the oldest continuously active German band in the world outside of Germany.

The Cibolo Farmers Market at Herff Farm
